Holiness a Fruit of the Redeemed
HOLINESS
is a Christian doctrine. It is a good practice that is part of the fruits of a
mature believer, preached by Christ and his Apostles, put into practice by the
redeemed, testimony to the transforming power of the gospel, platform of
preachers, and work of the Holy Spirit. No believer can be useful in the cause
of Christ without holiness. The Authors introduce us to the subject in a simple
way, but at the same time very challenging. Exhorting the reader to bear fruit
of repentance from sin and salvation. We invite you to immerse yourself in the
subject and make decisions that will change your life for edification.
What
is holiness?
Without
holiness, no one can see the Lord, it is necessary, it is essential, it is a
condition to enter eternity with our Creator.
Holiness
is important in the life of the Christian, it is necessary for every believer
to know, practice and teach on this subject.
There
is a vast volume of studies, books, and preaching on holiness. The objective of
this book is to motivate the believer to search the Bible, to study the subject
and put it into practice in his daily life.
Holiness
is mainly associated with two words: “Separate and Set Apart”. These words shed
light on their meaning.
The
first word is to separate, it implies making a distance between two parties.
For example: you can separate the rotten apples from those that are not and
thus avoid the accelerated decomposition of all.
Another
example is to separate clean clothes from dirty ones and thus prevent
everything from smelling dirty.
Another
example: Separate the dross from the Gold, thus making the gold more and more
pure.
Christ
Jesus called us from darkness to light, he put distance between those who
believe and those who do not believe, admirable is our God and Savior who,
being us sinners, he cleansed us and calls us to distance ourselves from sinful
practices.
On
one occasion a woman prostitute had been caught in the very act of her
fornication. The Pharisees, wanting to test Jesus, brought her before him, with
the intention that she would approve her execution by stoning her, as it was
legal to do by Jewish law. Jesus being God teaching us his mercy and showing
the world that no one else can forgive sins said: If anyone is free from sin,
let him cast the first stone, the Pharisees dropped their stones one by one
until they all left, Jesus then told the woman: Where are those who condemn
you, go and sin no more.
Christ
forgave this woman's sins, no one else could, since Christ paid the price for
our forgiveness. The impossible for man was made by our Almighty God. However,
what corresponded to this woman had to make her "turn away from sin"
stop practicing adultery and fornication.
